Island
Kiddie Kampus Child Development Center, Inc., is a winner
of the Governor’s Quality Care Award and has been rated
#17 in the nation. Our first center began operating in 1979
in a local church with two classrooms that grew to six classrooms.
After 19 years at that location, we expanded into two locations.
Both of the locations are 6000 plus square feet and are state-of-the-art
centers which include secure entrances, video surveillance
of classrooms, |
| and high-quality professionally-trained staff
offering infant,
toddler, pre-preschool, preschool, and school age educational
services. |
We
are now NAEYC accredited!
2006
Press Release: "We're proud to be accredited
by NAEYC, and recognized for our commitment to reaching
the highest professional standards," said Shirley
Mohney, Owner. "NAEYC Accreditation lets families
in our community know that children in our program
are getting the best care and early learning experiences."
"By
earning accreditation, Island Kiddie Kampus Child
Development Center, Inc., has become a leader in a
national effort to raise the quality of early childhood
education, and to help give all children a better
start."
NAEYC
created its accreditation program in 1985 to set professional
standards for early childhood education and to help
families identify high-quality child care and early
education programs. To earn NAEYC's accreditation,
a program conducts a self-study to determine how well
it meets the standards. The program is observed by
independent professional validators, and then reviewed
by a national panel. Programs are accredited by NAEYC
for a five-year period. For further information, please
visit NAEYC's website at
